Facebook groups are today the main rental channel in Israel — ahead of the listing boards and ahead of Marketplace. But groups are not equal: the right 20–30 bring more enquiries than a hundred random ones, because in an irrelevant group a listing simply dissolves.

Gush Dan — Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Givatayim

The largest concentration in the country. Leading groups reach hundreds of thousands of members, and competition matches — at peak hours a listing is pushed out of the feed within hours.

How to pick the right groups

  • City beats size — a neighbourhood group of 8,000 brings more enquiries than a nationwide one of 200,000, because its members are looking for exactly what you have.
  • "No agents" groups — if you are an agent, read the rules before posting. Some groups ban agents permanently after a single breach.
  • Language — Russian, English and French speaking audiences have their own groups, and a Hebrew-only listing never reaches them.
  • Allowed frequency — most groups permit one post per day or per week. Exceeding it ends in removal or a ban.

Running 30 groups without burning out

By hand it does not work: copy-pasting one listing into 30 groups takes an hour or two, and that exact same text is what Facebook reads as a duplicate before slowing the account down.
