What time does the Marketplace software publish listings?
Only at night - roughly in the window from 00:00 to 07:00 Israel time (precisely 00:03-06:58, Jerusalem time zone). This is intentional, not a mistake. During the day the software is still running and alive, but it doesn't post - in your dashboard you'll see "🌙 Sleeping until 00:00" at that time, and that's perfectly normal. Posting to Marketplace and posting to Facebook groups are deliberately separated in time to reduce the risk of restrictions from Facebook.
Why at night specifically? There are more people online during the day.
Precisely so that by morning your listing is ready and sits as high as possible in the feed. After posting, a Marketplace listing still goes through Facebook review - and if you put it up at night, by morning, when the most people are online, it's already approved and showing in the most visible spot. So night isn't chosen because few people are around, but so that at the morning peak your listing is fresh, at the top of the feed, and seen by as many people as possible.
How many listings does Marketplace post per night?
By default, 2 listings per night. In a single run the software pulls up to 5 apartments from your source and posts 2 of them. In practice it may turn out to be fewer than two - if all the fresh apartments have already used up their posting limit (more on this below). This is the standard number, designed for a calm, "human" pace with no risk of a ban.
What does "pool exhaustion" mean in simple terms?
Let's explain with an example. Say you have 20 active listings. The software posts each of them at most 3 times per week - and on repeats it changes the listing a little, so Facebook doesn't treat it as a duplicate: it picks different photos and tweaks them slightly (brightness, colors, and so on) and lightly rewrites the text. Once the software has posted all 20 of your listings 3 times each, there are no new variants left - and it simply has nothing to post. That's "pool exhaustion": not a malfunction, just that the available posts have run out. The fix is simple - add new apartments to the listings software, and the software will have something to post again.
Why is the same listing posted several times?
That's by design. Each listing is put on Marketplace up to 3 times. The first time - your original, unchanged. The second and third time - these are repeats, and they're deliberately made unlike the first: the text is rewritten, the photos are slightly changed, the price shifts a little. After 3 posts the listing is locked for about 7 days, then the cycle can repeat. Facebook treats completely identical posts as duplicates and hides them, which is why the repeats are made different.
Why do the text and photos in my Marketplace listings differ slightly from each other?
This is protection against being blocked for duplicates - it's called mutation, and it kicks in only on repeat posts (the 2nd and 3rd). The first post always goes out as your original. On repeats the system automatically rewrites the description (changes line order, synonyms, emojis), swaps photos (crop, color, brightness, recompression), and shifts the price slightly - by about ±150 ₪. At the same time all the important facts - number of rooms, floor, area, phone - stay the same. Facebook compares listings against each other and blocks exact copies, so each repeat post is made just a little different.
Why does the price on different posts of the same apartment differ by a few dozen shekels?
That's normal and done on purpose. On the first post the price is exact - exactly as you set it. On repeat posts a small random shift (about ±150 ₪) is added to the price so Facebook doesn't recognize the posts as identical. The difference is tiny and doesn't mislead the buyer, but it protects your account from being flagged as a "duplicate."
What's the difference between posting a rental and a sale?
The type is determined automatically by price: if the price is above 50,000 ₪ (or above 10,000 €) it's a sale, otherwise a rental. Rentals are always posted. Sale listings, however, only go out if the operator has separately enabled that option in your server settings. If it's not enabled, expensive sale listings are simply skipped - this is intentional, so a million-shekel apartment isn't accidentally posted as a "million-a-month rental." If you need sale postings, contact support to have it enabled.
Why did my post come out with no price / with a price of 1?
This is the "no price" rule kicking in: if no price was given in the original listing in the Telegram assistant, the software always posts it as a rental and sets the price to 1 (instead of "price on request"). That way Facebook doesn't reject the listing for an empty price. To have a real price in the listing, just include it in the listing text when adding it to the software, or set a default price in your dashboard under "Contacts."
Where does the Marketplace software even get the apartments from?
Only from Telegram. In its short 12-minute slot in the middle of the night, the software requests random apartments from the Telegram listings software (up to 5 at a time), parses the price, number of rooms, city, and photos for each, and posts them. There's no other source - everything the software posts is what you added in advance to the listings software with the /add or /fastadd command.
How many photos make it into a Marketplace listing?
The software uploads all the photos the apartment has. In practice that's up to 10 - that's the maximum stored for a single listing in the Telegram assistant (extras are silently trimmed when adding). Important: if the photos fail to upload at all for some reason, the posting is canceled - Facebook treats listings without photos as spam. So always add at least a few photos to each apartment.
Which city is shown in the listing, and why not my exact address?
The listing shows the city you set in your dashboard (the "Contacts" section, Marketplace city field); if the field is empty - "Israel" by default. The exact street and house number from the text are deliberately stripped out - only the city remains. This protects the privacy of your exact address and lowers the risk of Facebook flagging the listing. So if you had a full address in the software but only the city shows in Marketplace - that's normal and by design.
What currency is the price shown in?
In Israel - in shekels (₪), exactly as in your listing; the software doesn't convert the currency. You can set a default price for all posts in your dashboard under "Contacts" (if you set 0, the price is taken from the listing itself).
What language are Marketplace listings posted in?
In Israel, Marketplace listings are posted in Hebrew. This is intentional: Facebook Marketplace in Israel often flags listings in a foreign language as spam, so the listing is run in Hebrew to ensure reliable posting. The notifications and screenshot captions you receive in Telegram are bilingual, though - in Russian and Hebrew.
Is my phone number added to the listing?
Yes. The phone number is taken from your dashboard (the "Contacts" section) and automatically appended to the very end of the description with a 📞 icon. If there was no phone number in the original listing text, the software doesn't make one up - it inserts exactly your number from the settings.
Where does the listing title come from, and can I set it manually?
The Marketplace title is taken automatically - it's the first line (the first sentence) of your listing. You can't set it separately: Facebook's rental form has no visible title field, so the software fills it in itself. On repeat posts the title is also slightly rewritten so it differs from the first post. Tip: keep the first line of your listing short and clear (apartment type, number of rooms) - then the title will turn out well too.
How many rooms and bedrooms are listed?
The software determines the number of rooms from the listing text. Bedrooms in the Facebook form are filled in as "number of rooms minus 1" (for example, 3 rooms → 2 bedrooms), and bathrooms come from the listing. If there are no numbers in the text, a safe default is used (3 rooms). The software never changes the real numbers from your text - it only fills in a default when there's no data at all. You can also set the room count by hand in the listing's MP fields row; the software then uses your value instead of parsing the text.
What does "Marketplace rate-limit - cooldown 30 minutes" mean?
It means Facebook has temporarily limited how often you can post. The software pauses on its own for exactly 30 minutes and then continues working - no action is needed from you, just wait. It's not a ban or a malfunction, just an ordinary rate limit. The notification about it comes no more than once every couple of hours, so as not to spam you.
Why is there a few-minute pause between two nighttime posts?
Between successful posts the software deliberately waits a random 2-4 minutes (120-240 seconds). This mimics the behavior of a real person: an actual user doesn't put up two listings in a single second. Pauses like these lower the risk of Facebook considering the activity suspicious.
Are Marketplace and group posting the same thing?
No, these are two different programs on your server. The Marketplace software posts listings to the Facebook Marketplace section and runs at night (00:00-07:00). A separate program posts to Facebook groups on its own daytime schedule. They share one Facebook account and one browser, but they're different programs with different behavior: for example, in groups the text isn't rewritten, while in Marketplace it is rewritten on repeats.
Why does Marketplace show the same apartments on both of my servers?
Because all servers pull apartments from one shared Telegram source, and it has the same set of listings (around 20 for everyone). Duplicate protection works on each server independently; the servers don't coordinate with each other. So it's natural for different servers to post the same apartments - that's normal. If you want more unique listings, add your own apartments to your listings software.
Is it even legal to post apartments to Marketplace automatically?
The service posts listings on your behalf in your own Facebook account, as if you were doing it manually - there's no hacking or bypassing of anyone else's data here. That said, auto-posting is a gray area in Facebook's own rules, and the platform may restrict or block accounts for activity that's too frequent. That's why the software works at a "human" pace: a nighttime window, pauses between posts, a posting limit, and rewriting of repeats. No one can guarantee that Facebook will never impose restrictions - you accept responsibility for your account when you sign up.
How will I know the listing actually got posted at night?
After each successful post the software sends you a screenshot of your Marketplace card in Telegram with a caption in Russian and Hebrew (price, number of rooms, city). So in the morning you just open Telegram and see what went out and when. If there are no screenshots overnight - most likely the listing pool was exhausted (there was nothing to post), and it's worth adding new apartments.
I added new apartments - will they be posted right now?
No, not right away. The Marketplace software only posts during its nighttime window (00:00-07:00). New apartments added during the day go into the queue and are posted the coming night. If an apartment is no longer relevant (rented out), mark it with the /done command in the software or the 🔴OFF button - and it will stop taking part in posting.
What does the MP fields row on a listing set?
Four things: price, number of rooms, deal type (rent or sale) and city. The software uses exactly those on Marketplace instead of reading them out of the text. Filling them in is optional: empty fields behave as before and the software parses the listing itself. The row is in the cabinet on the Listings page inside the listing card, and in the app on the listing screen.
