An Israeli renter scrolls through 50-80 listings in their Facebook feed in an hour. If your first photo is dark or cropped tight, the thumb keeps scrolling in under a second. You don't need a studio — you need 6 simple rules.
Rule one: light
A dark photo is the number-one reason a listing gets tagged "unprofessional." Open every curtain, turn on every light. Shoot between 10:00-14:00 when natural light is strongest. If still dark, boost exposure in your camera app (arrow up).
Rule two: wide angle
Shoot from a corner, not from the center. Stand in one corner of the room and turn outward. This shows the whole room, not a slice of it. Any iPhone or Android since 2020 supports wide-angle — pick it in the camera app.
Rule three: tidy before shooting
A messy photo signals "the landlord doesn't care." 15 minutes of tidying significantly raises a photo's value. Remove: clothes on the couch, dishes piled on the counter, wet towels, dust on the mirror. Keep: plants, neat books, simple decor.
Rule four: correct sequence
The order of photos in the post matters. The working sequence: living room, kitchen, main bedroom, additional rooms, bathroom, balcony, outside view (if any). Don't open with the bathroom — renters don't connect.
Rule five: 7-9 photos
Fewer than 5 photos looks half-baked. More than 12 gets tiring. Aim for 7-9 photos covering all the main areas. If there's a balcony view, that's an important shot — a great view adds 200-400 ₪/month to rent.
Rule six: 30-second video
A 30-second walkthrough closes deals. Exit the entrance, walk through the living room, kitchen, rooms, exit. The renter sees the real flow of the apartment, not just static shots.
The Facebook technical side
Facebook detects identical photos appearing across multiple groups simultaneously and flags as spam. The BuzzPost bot applies a light photo modification to Marketplace listings so they aren't seen as duplicates. For regular Facebook group posts, the modification isn't needed. The bot schedules and rotates posting at a human pace, auto-pauses 120 minutes on rate-limit. It sends a screenshot of each post to Telegram. It does not change your text or rewrite anything. Pricing: ₪249 for the first bot, ₪200 each additional.
