Every Facebook real-estate group has its own rules, and they differ from group to group. A single breach can end in a deleted post, and sometimes in a permanent ban from the group — with no warning and no way back.
Where to read the rules
On the group page, under the "About" tab or in the pinned post at the top. In the app it hides under the three dots. Two minutes before your first post in any new group is worth it — especially in the large ones, where moderators are strict.
Four rules that repeat almost everywhere
- Frequency — one post a day is the common limit; in strict groups one a week. A second post the same day is removed automatically.
- Price and photo required — a listing without a price or a photo is removed in most groups. "Price in DM" counts as a breach.
- No external links — a link to Yad2 or your own site reduces the post's reach, and in some groups gets it removed immediately.
- Agents — "no agents" and "owners only" groups ban realtors permanently. This is the hardest breach to undo.
Rules that vary between groups
- Post language — some groups require Hebrew only.
- Title format — city and room count at the start.
- No emoji, or no coloured text.
- Mandatory neighbourhood tag.
- Moderator approval for a new member's first post.
What a breach costs
Three levels: the post is removed; posting in the group is muted temporarily; a permanent ban. In large groups it is all automatic — the moderation bot removes it before a human ever saw it. Worth understanding: a group ban is not a Facebook ban, but if it happens across several groups in a row, Facebook starts paying attention too.
Working properly across dozens of groups
Keeping this in your head is not possible. The simple way is to record each group's allowed frequency and special requirements and post accordingly. The BuzzPost groups bot spreads posting across the day on a schedule you set, so no group receives two posts in one day, and rewrites every listing before it goes out — so neither moderators nor Facebook see duplicated content.
Frequently asked questions
Can I post several apartments to one group in a day?
In most groups, no. One listing per day is the rule, even for different apartments.
What if a post is removed with no explanation?
Do not re-post immediately — that is the fast route to a ban. Read the rules, fix what was missing (usually the price or a photo) and try the next day.
Can an agent post in "from owners" groups?
Technically yes, but that is exactly the breach that ends in a permanent ban. Filter those groups out in advance.
