Posting schedule and limits

Instagram does not like accounts that push out 20 posts in an hour. So BuzzPost has a fixed rule: no more than 4 posts a day per account, an hours window (8:00-23:00 by default) and a pause between posts that you set. Whatever did not go out today goes out tomorrow, and you do not have to remember it.

How does the Instagram posting schedule work in BuzzPost?

The bot publishes no more than 4 listings a day to one Instagram account, only inside the hours window set in the panel (8:00-23:00 by default), and with a fixed pause between posts. Listings you marked with Add to Instagram join a queue and go out in order: older ones first, newer ones after them, including whatever entered the queue through New listings automatically. Marked 12 apartments in one day? 4 go out today, 4 tomorrow, 4 the day after. In the panel every listing shows whether it is waiting, published or failed.

Why exactly 4 a day and not more

Instagram watches pace. A real agency does not push 20 posts in a row: one or two flats in the morning, another one after lunch. That is why the ceiling in BuzzPost is 4 posts a day per account, and it is a service rule, not a setting you can bypass. Marked 30 listings on Sunday? No problem: they go out over a week, 4 each day, and the account looks alive and steady instead of firing everything on one day and going silent. Hours window and pause between posts

By default the bot posts between 8:00 and 23:00. At night it does not touch the account, even with 10 listings in the queue: they wait for the morning. You can narrow the window, say to 9:00-20:00, if you want posts to appear only in the hours when you answer the phone. Between posts there is a pause you set in the server settings; the bot never uploads two flats within a minute of each other. If the window closes before all 4 went out, the remainder moves to the next day and keeps its place in the queue. No listing disappears and none jumps the queue.

What happens if I mark more than 4 listings in one day?

Nothing bad. The first 4 go out today inside the hours window, the rest stay in the queue and go out on the following days, 4 each day, in the order they were marked. In the panel every waiting listing is marked as waiting, and you can see when its turn came. No need to mark anything again or to remember it.

Can I change the hours window and the pause?

Yes, both are in the server settings on the Instagram page of the panel. The default window is 8:00-23:00 and you can set a narrower one, for example only the agency's working hours. The pause between posts is your setting too. What you cannot change is the ceiling of 4 posts a day: it is part of the service.

In what order do listings come out of the queue?

In the order they entered: what was marked earlier goes out earlier. Listings added through New listings automatically join the end of the queue the moment the listing is created. If you want a particular flat out first, simply mark it first. A failed listing does not block the queue: the bot moves on and retries it later.

Does the 4 a day limit affect Facebook posting?

No. 4 a day is an Instagram-only rule. Posting to Facebook groups and Marketplace follows its own schedule, and the same listing can go out on the same day to 14 groups and to Instagram. The two queues do not interfere: the bot runs them separately on the same server.

A week in the queue: an example with numbers

Say an agency with 3 agents adds 6 new flats a day on average, and New listings automatically is switched on. On Sunday morning there are 6 listings in the queue. The bot publishes 4 between 8:00 and 23:00 with a pause between them, 2 roll over to Monday. On Monday another 6 arrive, the queue is now 8; 4 go out, 4 remain. By Thursday the queue reaches 10-12 listings, and that is fine: the account gets 4 fresh flats every day, including days when nobody in the office touched the computer. The important thing: the queue is never wiped or reset. If you do not want it to grow, mark by hand only the flats that really deserve a post instead of adding everything automatically. In the panel you can see at any moment how many listings are waiting and what went out today.

What the panel shows about the schedule

On the Instagram page of the panel three things relate to the schedule. First, the server settings: the hours window, the pause between posts and the New listings automatically switch. Second, the list of listings with the state of each one: waiting for what is in the queue, published with date, time and a link to the post, failed for what needs another try. There is sorting, search and a retry failed action. Third, if Instagram temporarily holds back publishing, a status appears at the top of the page, the bot stops the current session and tries again an hour later; the listing stays in the queue and is not counted as a burnt attempt.
